The Free and Secure Trade program is a joint Canada–United
States initiative involving the Canada Border Services
Agency and the U.S. States Customs and Border Protection.
FAST supports moving pre-approved eligible goods across
the border quickly, and verifying trade compliance away

Free Trade Area of the Americas
(FTAA)
FTAA is a proposed agreement to eliminate or reduce
the trade barriers among all countries in the Americas.
Brazil has proposed a measured, three-track approach
that calls for a series of bilateral agreements to reduce
specific tariffs on goods, and a hemispheric pact on

The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) covers
international trade in goods. The Goods Council has 10
committees dealing with specific subjects (such as agriculture,
market access, subsidies, and anti-dumping measures).

System (HS)
The Harmonized System (HS) code is an international method
of classifying products for trading purposes. This classification
is used by customs officials around the world to determine
the duties, taxes and regulations that apply to the product.
