Université du Québec à Montréal. The Center for Enquiries and Research on Brazil (CERB) is an interdisciplinary space that unites all of UQAM's research and teaching programs concerning Brazil. Affiliated with the UQAM Communication Faculty, the CERB is active in cultural, social, economic and political domains as well as in many science fields. The university is associated with over twenty-two Brazilian universities, institutes and research centres, from the Amazon to Rio Grande do Sul including Pará, Bahia, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. These partnership projects concern arts, literature, education, physical sciences, health sciences, communications, environmental sciences, urban planning, diplomatic studies and any other field of study that can benefit from Canada-Brazil relations. Visiting Research Chair in Brazilian Studies

University of Western Ontario. The University is home to the Canada Visiting Research Chair in Brazilian Studies, which twice a year sponsors a two-week series of seminars and talks in Canada by a Brazilian Professor on current issues of Brazil’s economic, political and social reality. Participating universities are University of Western Ontario, University of Calgary, York University, Université du Québec à Montréal and Saint Mary’s University. Former Brazilian President Fernando Cardoso is the 2008 Canada Visiting Research Chair in Brazilian Studies. [English]
